Most homeless come from a broken relationship. Circumstances out of their control or bad decisions bring them to a point of desperation.
The Mission stands in the gap meeting physical and spiritual needs giving hope for permanent independence based on a relationship with Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
Since 1988, Beacon Rescue Mission has been offering support and sharing the Gospel to those in need. This is through different shelter programs and community needs connections.

Having the Heart of Job...
"Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. And he said, 'Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.' In all this Job did not sin or charge God with wrong." Job 1:20-22
The Beacon Rescue Mission desires not only to address the physical needs of the less fortunate and suffering in our community, but also to help all people see the spiritual need of Jesus Christ and His death on the cross as the only way to be at peace with God. This is true alleviation from suffering for everyone.
The facts are that most people that come needing services from the Beacon Rescue Mission have made choices in their life that have landed them in a place where they have no one to turn to. This is a perfect time to share the hope that is found through Jesus Christ as He suffered on the cross and paid the penalty for man's sin.
Job is the example in the Bible of what faith in God looks like in the most desperate of times. He shows us that even though we can lose everything in this world, that we can still worship God as the One who gives and takes away, ultimately knowing what's best for us.
